Volunteers make our ministry possible. There's a huge range of ways in which you can serve God working with young people, whether in your own church, directly with NESYFC or on a YFC gap year. We offer opportunities in all these areas, with training for church youth leaders right through to gap year placements with British YFC. Find out more in these pages. We run a Youth Leaders' Training Day about twice per year. Training days are a great opportunity for youth leaders from across the NorthEast to get together and share with each other. Training offered at recent events has been in drama, managing challenging behaviour, using technology in worship and using Youth Alpha. . All our volunteer youth workers receive essential training such as Child Protection (Safe From Harm) and basic safety. We also help and encourage our volunteers to access more specific training such as multimedia and video training, first aid and worship. |

Volunteers are essential to all the work that NESYFC does. Our volunteers are from varied backgrounds and of all ages from 16 upwards. Some of our helpers are under 16 years old. Volunteers make up the Council of Reference, the Executive Committee, and run all the different ministries of NESYFC. |
