Front Line Youth Work: Update from Matthew

Matthew returned to Tillydrone in August and has been working remotely for some of the time, but restrictions lifted and the youthwork at Tillydrone is picking up pace. It is mainly untouched by current restrictions, but operating within social distancing rules.

A bonfire, with fireworks was held last month for the young people. Matthew had a chance to walk with some of the young people and this gave an opportunity to speak one to one.

Illuminate is going well, the young people are mostly engaging with each other and the leaders.

Radiate is looking to do an online event in the beginning of next year.

Schools are offering to provide a litter pick in the local area. TLG has been suggested as an online regular event, held in the school building, with the correct procedures in place.

Plans for Christmas events are in early stages, this will probably be in a remote context.

Football is currently on hold, due to a Covid 19 outbreak amongst staff members at the football pitches and another team that it spread to. We are waiting to hear how it goes for restart.

You can catch up with goings-on at our Facebook and Instagram pages, where you can also find regular posts including Bible Studies for teenagers.

Please pray for these activities and the young people we're working with: for God's protection and strength in these difficult times, and for all those involved to know Him more deeply.
