Another notice from Neil & Craig at Truth Promotions...
The Christian rock band Red Rain, will be playing at the Lemon Tree in Aberdeen on Sunday 7th of August 2005 at 8:00pm as part of their World Tour. Along with them will be Esther Duffin, who will provide the support for this event. We believe this event will provide a fairly unique opportunity for "non-threatening" Outreach, as it is being held in the Lemon Tree - a well-established & well-respected secular music venue.Tickets are £6.50, available by calling 0774 880 2281 (John Kozak of Dreamworks Promotions) or from the Lemon Tree Box Office Tel. 01224 642230.
Experience the contagious and moving sound of Red Rain. Taking its origin in New Zealand and touring the world throughout the year, this new-generation rock band is committed to bringing a message of life, love and hope through their music. With their recently released album "New Day", Red Rain have introduced a refreshing new sound but do not lose any of their original rock which has made them so distinctive over the past years.
Motivated by a deep love for God and a genuine desire to see His love impact the world in a real way, Red Rain travel extensively though New Zealand, Australia, Europe, USA, United Kingdom, Africa and Asia. Playing in many different venues and locations including city events, festivals, churches, outreaches and crusades, their vision remains the same. To create an atmosphere for people to realise the reality of God.Esther Duffin, daughter of Graeme Duffin from Wet, Wet, Wet celebrates the tradition of melodic songwriting with the charm and sensitivity of a creative thinker. Inspired by vintage Elton John and Rikki Lee Jones to Billie Holiday and Chet Baker, songwriting is in Esther's blood. Her parents are songwriters, family friends are musicians and there's a recording studio attached to her house. Securing herself a major publishing contract at 17 years old, Esther has since woven her way through the complexities of a major record release that captures the essence of her individual writing and provides the setting for her distinctive voice.
Although this is short notice - please make the most of this opportunity and support this event. Please use every chance to spread the news and invite your friends. Hope to see you there!

British Youth for Christ have been very busy over the past year and through their work we are able to provide even more resources for youth groups.
The first is a resource aimed at 14-18 year olds called Mettle, building on the success and experience of Rock Solid and RS2, but designed throughout for and older age group.
The second is the result of a partnership between YFC and Alpha - a completely redesigned Youth Alpha.
